Abaco Weather

The weather in the Abaco is similar to Florida's East Coast, though a bit warmer, breezier, and dryer. Abaco is cooled by southeasterly Tradewinds in the summer, and warmed by the surrounding waters and the Gulfstream throughout the fall and winter. While Abaco is centered on the same latitude as Palm Beach, Florida, the winter temperatures usually average 10 degrees warmer than Florida, and the summer highs are generally lower than those found in Florida due to the moderating surrounding waters. So Abaco is rarely too hot or too cold. Monthly rainfall averages about 2 inches in the winter and 6 inches in the summer, with most showers coming in quick "here then gone" squalls.
