I just read a post claiming that Mr. Gottleib's health was suffering, and I want to assure all of his friends that I saw him over the holidays at some private functions, and he is in robust good health, jovial as ever and throughly enjoying himself. He is very much looking forward to a well-earned retirement after 25+ years of dedicating himself to public service to his fellow Bahamians. He will be very much missed and I wish him a l-o-n-g and happy retirement!
The above comments are completely correct

Well today it finally got sunny and the snow has started to melt around the plowed out darkspots in our truckyard, which is good because it is supposed to be near zero by Saturday and today's sunshine may melt a good bit of this ice by then even though it is only 24 degrees out now. My avatar is a pretty good picture of how it looks here today, except the ferry isn't quite frozen in yet.

Thank God for a good pitch on the lot and a high pressure hot water washer or the trucks would be unrecognizable from the road salt. Oh well....Lunch is over and it's time to throw a few more logs in the furnace!

Wind is much lighter here in MHH this morning. Sun is out, and things will warm up a bit over the next few days.

Had lunch yesterday at the Coco Bar at Treasure, and I honestly thought I would freeze to death. Coffee was hot, which helped get us through. The color of the water at TC beach was such a light blue it was breathtaking - cool temps. will do that.

I think I will drive down by Cherokee later today once I get a few 'honey-do's' out of the way.

Stay warm, everyone. This winter will end eventually, I promise!!!

Wish I were there to greet you. Tell everyone Chuck from Kansas says HI! (Not that there would be that many Chucks to differentiate from.)
