Default Your New Address In Abaco...

Serenity Point. Read entire article at http://www.bahamasb2b.com/news/story...ur-new-address

This should get some 'comment' from the group that wishes to stifle growth on Abaco.

The same one. When I was down last, A lot of people were buying as much land as they could between Cherokee, and Hole in the Wall knowing that it would jump in price when they started to build the homes in that area. And the Land has doubled in some areas already. Of course this is not on Guana, so you will not get a SSAL "Save Southern Abaco Land" group develop. Then again, it may stop some Abaconians from getting work so they just might fight it, since they care for Abaconians and the Lively hood of the men and women.

Personally, I think that end of the Island should be preserved for the Wildlife, but if this project is done properly, and made to fit into the surroundings then I think it would be OK. Remove as few of the native plants and trees as possible, run all the lines underground anything to keep the natural look, and state. I know the trend here is to make things reflect the Surroundings, natural colours, and materials, site orientation that does not change the natural lay of the land. Sometimes you cant even see the houses because they blend in so well. However I suspect large houses that look like something in Nassau, since they want that appeal.

FYI Serenity Point is located near Schooner Bay - not down south near Sandy Point. It comprised only 24 Estate Lots so says the article I read.

The proposed development down south is much larger, however due to tremendous pressure applied, it appears that this one has been placed on the back burner for now.
